Section 8 or Housing Choice Voucher Programs Taking Pre-Applications

The Housing Authority of Columbus, Georgia is announcing that Section 8 or Housing Choice Voucher programs will take pre-applications by phone only from May 20, 2024, through May 24, 2024, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.

Section 8 will accept pre-applications from families in the following income ranges only. Any family having more income than stated below will not be eligible to apply.

1 person - $24,700
2 persons - $28,200
3 persons - $31,750
4 persons - $35,250
5 persons - $38,100
6 persons - $40,900
7 persons - $43,750
8 persons - $46,550

To submit a pre-application, please call (706) 571-2801 or (706) 571-2802.

The applicant shall provide their name, address, birth date, children's names, birth dates, social security numbers, race, phone number, and estimated weekly or monthly income.

The application process and Section 8 waiting list will close at 4:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2024.
